Walking pneumonia

Walking pneumonia, sung to the tune of "Waltzing Matilda." That's me.

I'm down for count, ladies and... well... ladies. After being sick for four days, I went to the doc on Monday and got a prescription. Things only got worse so I went back again this morning. My lungs are chock full of God-only-knows-what, but I've got three bottles of new pills that will hopefully help vacate my premises.

I can still knit but it's hard to write, so I'm going sign off now and go take a nap. Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with an update on Handstrikket; I'm almost done with the second sleeve. The yoke beckons!

  1. Oh,no!!! So sorry to read you are ill. Get lots of rest and drink lots of liquids. xo Your nurse friend

  2. A nurse friend! That's just what I need. Be grateful you're in Syracuse because otherwise you'd be walking the dog and bringing me chicken soup! xxxooo

  3. I am SO SORRY to hear you are not well today, julie.
So many with bronchial problems this winter!
So rest rest rest tonight and then knit knit knit when you awake.
Don't walk Moose..just put a Pamper on 'im.
(there MUST be a pattern for a knitted one on Ravelry LOL)
Get Well wishes go your way and prayers go up!

  4. I hope you feel better soon. Get lots of rest and try to drink lots of fluids.
Glad that you can knit to kill time between naps :o)

  5. Sorry to hear that you are sick, Julie. Like the others said--lots of naps, lots of fluids. We like herb tea with honey or just a couple of slices of lemon steeped in hot water with honey to taste. The honey will soothe your throat. (My kids tell me that a cookie or two with the tea really helps.) Hope you feel better soon. I never feel like knitting when I'm sick--hope you aren't like me and finish that second sleeve.

  6. Get better soon Julie. Follow all the good advice you received from all your blogging friends, get a lot of rest and come back to us soon.

  7. Get better... not fun to be sick, not fun at all! hugs...

  8. Thanks to all my good friends here, I'm on the mend (well, the fine medications that doctor prescribed certainly helped, too).

Thank you all for the well wishes!
